Musical Theatre Summer Camp!
Co-Directed by Layla Lawrence & Natalie Dempsey
This 4 Week Summer Camp will have students audition, rehearse & perform the musical theatre production of School House Rock Live! Jr.
Rehearsals are Monday - Thursday 10am - 12pm
Begins on Monday, July 8th, 2024.
Location: The Brite Room at Music Freqs, 2258 Pickwick Drive Camarillo CA.
Students ages 7 - 17 years. Tuition $695 per student and includes a souvenir t-shirt and more!
Performances: August 2nd - August 4th

Location: The Brite Room Stage at Music Freqs, Camarillo
This 8 Week Workshop will cover Monologues, Scenes, Group Numbers, & Performance Preparation concluding in a final performance.
Classes are on Fridays 4:30 - 6:00pm at The Brite Room at Music Freqs, 2258 Pickwick Drive Camarillo CA.

Let's give a double round of applause for our dynamic directing duo, Layla and Natalie!
Layla, our amazing office manager extraordinaire, proves her talents extend far beyond keeping Music Freqs running smoothly. This past December, she donned her director's hat and, alongside Natalie, co-led our smash-hit musical theatre camp, Elf Jr., which completely sold out! Layla's passion and dedication are a big reason why we're offering even more acting and theatre classes and camps. We're lucky to have her!
When Natalie's not rocking out with her students here at Music Freqs she's a teacher and education specialist during the school year! You might know her husband Justin - our very own longtime drum teacher.
Natalie and Layla are lifelong friends with over 20 years of musical theatre experience! Buckle up for a summer of fun, learning, and rocking out with Natalie and Layla at the helm!

More about Layla:
Layla earned an elementary school teaching credential with a focus in the performing arts from CSUCI graduating in 2010. Her father is an accomplished musician and pushed Layla into learning music at age 11. Layla eventually parlayed music performance into theatrical arts, which is her real passion as she also co-owns a local theatre company. Layla is a mother of two. Layla is dedicated to the idea that arts education is vitally important for all people, but especially children, and she feels honored to be a part of an amazing organization that is helping to bring music education to Ventura County.
