Band Aid is for the Music Freqs student who wants to gain the awesome experience of performing live on stage in a band or an established band looking to up their game!

Our student bands have performed at events such as:

The California Strawberry Festival
Wings Over Camarillo
The Collection at Riverpark
Pleasant Valley Recreation & Parks District Events

Music Freqs can guide you on various topics including Live Show Performance, Stage Presence, Technical Advice, Song Development, Advertising and more!

Band Aid is $25/hour per band member

Band Aid is taught by

JUSTIN DEMPSEY

Justin has been studying the art of playing drums for 25+ years, and received a Performance Degree in Percussion from Musicians Institute in 2005. He has been an instructor at Rock City Studios - now Music Freqs since 2008. In the past few years he has built a huge reputation from playing extensive tours in over 40 different countries including England, Scotland and Wales with his band. Justin has also recorded 3 full length studio albums on 2 different record labels and is continuously summoned to work with a number of different artists in the studio or on stage. Justin teaches his students technique, basic fundamentals, coordination, reading rhythms, rudimental concepts and patterns in creative ways. Justin encourages his students to create their own music and prepares them to play music with others.

Justin also teaches Drum lessons, Jam Night, and Master Blaster 2.0!

MAX DICKENSON

Max has been playing music since he was 7 years old and has over 10 years of teaching experience. He graduated in Audio Engineering from Musicians Institute in 2013. Max combines music theory and songwriting within his classes. Outside of teaching, Max is the lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter in local experimental rock band, "Two Brothers". His teaching philosophy is to make sure that each student is having fun and reaching their musical goals while remaining inspired.

Max also teaches Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Mandolin and ProTools lessons!
